This online workshop is a modified version of my Contemporary Rug Weaving Workshop. We will be creating our own looms from cardboard and play with different types of yarn and/or fabric strips to create small rug weavings.

Class fee is $25 and does not include materials.

Materials needed:
- Different colors and textures of yarn OR strips of fabric
- Scissors
- Masking tape or packing tape
- Cardboard rectangle, at least 8” x 12” (recycle a box you already have!)
- Cotton gardening twine (optional)

Workshop Objectives:
- Understanding the fundamentals of rug weaving
- Exploring color theory with fiber material
- Playing with different ways to create texture
- Awareness of the importance to reuse textiles
